Emotional regulation is a complex skill and one that is often tricky for our Autistic children. In this workshop, Liz Martin, will support parents to understand the complexity of emotional regulation, a framework for helping our Autistic children understand their emotional states and a toolbox for managing emotions. Liz will explore the link between emotions, interoception, language, theory of mind and psychological flexibility. Parents will leave with a practical tool and a variety of strategies that they can use to help their child develop emotional regulation skills.
